Exclusive access to rewards, content, and games

EA Play is a subscription-based video game service from Electronic Arts. It hosts all your favorite EA titles and new releases on one platform. Members of the platform get access to exclusive rewards, trials, and promotions. This includes new releases; you get to play EA’s new titles at least ten hours before it’s released to the public. If you want to replay your fave games, you also get unlimited access to a collection of fan-favorite series and top titles created by EA themselves.

Is EA Play free?

Fans of Electronic Arts may be familiar with EA Access. The platform has now been updated and renamed as EA Play. This version of the game service wants you to get more out of your games. Subscribers are given special access to members-only content, as well as the first priority for new releases. As you’re trying the real game, your progress will carry over when you decide to purchase it.

An example is a special access promo on Madden 21. Its bonus features include recurring 3 Gold Team Fantasy packs and a welcome bonus of 3 Gold Fantasy Madden UltimateTeam Players. Another sports game on the platform is FIFA 21. You’ll receive recurring FIFA Ultimate Team kits and stadium customization rewards as you play the game. The bonuses on the game service are similar to this, wherein you have one exclusive offer and recurring ones.

EA’s best games—such as Battlefield, Need for Speed, and Star Wars Battlefront—are also available on this platform. You can sign in with the same login credentials as your free Xbox live account; however, only Xbox Live Gold users can use the online features of the games in the catalog. All the information and games that have been stored in this account will sync in with EA Play so you can pick up where you left off.

A reward-centric subscription

EA Play offers gaming enthusiasts more than just access to a vast library of games. Notably, a membership subscription provides a 10% discount on all digital purchases made through the platform. It applies to a range of content, including full games, expansions, and in-game purchases. Whether you’re purchasing the latest title or additional content for an existing game, the savings add up, making it easier to enjoy more without breaking the bank.

In addition to financial perks, members can take advantage of exclusive in-game rewards that could significantly enhance their gaming experience. These rewards vary by game and often come in the form of unique cosmetic items, special gear, and even gameplay boosts that provide an edge over non-members. The platform frequently updates these offerings to keep the gaming experience fresh and engaging.

A featured-packed game subscription service

EA Play is a great platform for fans of EA games. You get to access games with a free Xbox Live account, as well as the Xbox Live Gold. While there are more benefits to Gold members, you already have a large and varied collection of EA games that comes with the program. This means you'll have your hands full with playing both classic, retro, and new games.

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
